There has been a national show of disgust towards the activists over this and many more incidents that have happened across the UK.

Approximately 1200 activists descended upon the station, where they attacked Mr Henderson. Social media footage shows the moment where the army veteran is attacked by the mob. Mr Henderson told the Daily Mail “I was getting shoved backwards, in danger of falling, and one of them stood on my foot and split my toe.”

Mr Henderson went on to say “So I thought I had got to get the money out of here. So I went down, and as I bent down someone punched me in the back. And then I got another punch in my side.”

The army veteran managed to get away from the mob who were shouting out ‘ceasefire now’ and ‘Free Palestine’ whilst blowing whistles, holding Pro-Palestinian messages and waving Palestinian flags when three members of railway staff rescued Mr Henderson from the mob.

Other protest mobs also made belay for veterans selling poppies to the public, in London at Charing Cross Station where an angry Pro-Palestinian mob surrounded a poppy stall manned by elderly veterans in their 80s including women.

Four police officers were injured at Trafalgar Square when masked activists aimed fireworks at them and an individual was arrested for broadcasting anti-semitic comments.

In Rochdale on Tuesday 7th November, graffiti with Pro-Palestine message was sprayed onto the Cenotaph which followed another incident at the same cenotaph on Monday 6th. A spokesperson from Rochdale Borough Council said “this is totally unacceptable,” the spokesperson went on to say “We are proud of our strong links with our armed forces community. Our war memorials are incredibly important and should be respected at all times.”

Scotland Yard says it has seen an escalation in violence linked to the protests and has made more than 160 arrests related to the Hamas-Israel conflict since 7th October.
