AI has been in the news a lot these past few months, be it at the centre of the US writers strike, the music industry and global security. And now AI has been used to create the perfect Welsh Guard and theres been some amusing results.
In a post by the Welsh Guards Instagram account, writing “We asked the latest Artificial Intelligence image creation software to create what it thinks our Guardsmen looks like.”
The AI image creation software created what it believed members of the Welsh Guards should look like, creating some amusing results.
Images included a group of guardsmen looking like they were dressed for the Crimean War to to a Cossack looking bear in a Guards uniform.

The Welsh Guards asked followers “Which one is your favourite?”
@jwardparrish Definitely being back the beards! At least whole on ceremonial duties! Also, a standard bearer with a full bear head bearskin would be epic! The romans would be proud.

The post comes after the British Army said it is reviewing whether to relax its rules on beards in a bid to increase recruitment.
