This week has been a damaging week for President Joe Biden… This week we have seen the release of the ‘Robert Hur report ‘ where in conclusion stated the President’s memory was “significantly limited, both during his recorded interviews with the ghostwriter in 2017, and his interview with our office in 2023.” Questioning Biden’s mental health. As well as this alarmingly, the report by Hur even showed that Biden didn’t remember, even closely the year his son Beau died of brain cancer in 2015.

In Biden’s response on Thursday, the President later made things even worse by referring to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi as the president of Mexico. Biden’s mixup happened during his response to questions about the Israel-Hamas war. This is now the third time this week the President has mixed up heads of state.

So is this continued catalogue of mistakes, seemingly show Biden as unfit to hold the office of President now and for a second term?

If we look at Biden more recently over the past year or so, you can’t help but see a difference in not only his mental standing, but his physical capability too. Watching Biden walking these days, makes you want to just pass him a zimmer frame, worrying for him incase he falls over and hurts himself. Speaking from a prepared statement, the President holds his own and shows any claims he is mentally unfit to be President just Republican hype, BUT, when Biden has to go off script and answer questions from the press, you see a very different Biden.

Off Script and responding to press questions, Biden can be seen and heard stuttering, pausing mid-sentence, forgetting where he is in his train of thought and even mixing up heads of states and what countries they are head of state for.

The fact that Biden not only forgot the year his son Beau Biden died, he didn’t even come close to the year either brings in serious cause of alarm when not only is he President of the most powerful country in the world, but also seen as the leader of the ‘Free World’, so the geo-political crisis this could cause around this is unmentionable.

With the multiple crisis’s going on in the world right now from the Ukraine War to the fall out in the Middle East sparked by the Hamas-Israel war, we need stability and calmness in the knowledge leaders are of sound body and mind, particularly that of the United States. However, what is the alternative? Right now, if there was an election in the US right now, it’s likely Trump would win, causing many more disturbing issues and threats to security in Europe with Trumps threats to pull the US out of NATO. In the Democrat corner, there just isn’t anyone that could come forward and pick up the Democrat flag, leaving the Democrats left with no choice, but to rally round Biden and support him towards a second term in office.

It’s very clear there is a problem with Biden and his memory, let’s face it, Biden was born way back in 1942, that during the middle of the Second World War, making him 82yrs old! This will leave Biden if he does win a second term 86yrs old before he leaves a second term in office. In the constitution, there is a minimum age for someone to become President, this age is 32yrs old. Maybe a top end age should be put in place. 

I’m not suggesting Biden has dementia, but it’s very obvious with his old age, he is definitely suffering from memory loss due to his age. His physicality as I mentioned earlier is also questionable and very frail looking.

America’s problem is an international problem and a worrying one. The US political top tier has been a problem since the end of Obama’s Presidency adding already to a fractured country of two extremes between the Far Right of Republican America and the Far Left of Democrat America, which has also been seen across the Democratic West with BREXIT and other political extremist fractures across other European countries.

Both the Republicans and Democrats need to get their act together and groom more suitable politicians that could potentially lead America in the future, otherwise the US and the West open up to dissemination of Fake News and political disruption from the likes of Russia, China and North Korea.
